













In this project, we entered the affiliate and performance marketing niche, a highly challenging field. The topic is complex in itself due to high competition, frequent Google filters, and constant algorithm updates.
The client’s goal was to increase organic traffic and visibility for a website that publishes analytical and educational content for affiliates.
At the start, the project had minimal traffic (around 100 visits per month), near-zero visibility, and a website structure that didn’t match its goals, which are fragmented pages, incomplete meta tags, and a weak technical foundation.
5. Developing an external promotion strategy by building a strong backlink profile with the “grey” niche specifics in mind.
After the initial SEO improvements, we focused on internal linking, that is, redistributing link equity so search engines could index new content faster. This strongly boosts clusters with educational articles.
We also analyzed user behavior by identifying exit pages and the themes that retained attention. Based on Google Analytics and Hotjar, we improved content, added FAQ blocks, and strengthened CTA elements, leading to affiliate program pages.
To accelerate external signal growth, we launched Tier-2 link strengthening, which improved indexation and boosted link equity even from mid-tier referring domains.
The anchor strategy was handled with extra care because in grey niches, over-optimization is dangerous.
Anchor links made up no more than 20%. The rest were branded and natural non-anchor mentions.
We also worked on local factors by adding submissions and catalogs relevant to CIS markets, where users actively search for affiliate marketing training. This increased trust and regional rankings.
By the end of month three, we deployed a mini PBN network, which was carefully selected by trust and niche relevance. Quality and indexation were top priorities over sheer volume. This helped significantly strengthen the article and case pages.
Overall, the strategy worked on three levels:

This ensured predictable, safe growth without sharp drops or instability.
In month four, we recorded the first breakthrough: +280% keyword visibility across targeted clusters. Key categories entered the Top-20, and it is secured Top-10 within two more months.
By October 2025, organic traffic increased from 109 → 9,645 users, and previously invisible keywords started driving stable sessions and partnership inquiries.
Site indexation also improved: new pages were indexed within 2–5 days, which is critical for fast-moving niches like affiliate marketing.
CTR grew as improved meta tags and snippets appeared more attractive in SERP.
Additional traffic growth was due to mini-PBN support. We strengthened low-volume queries and expanded the semantic reach. As a result, the site started receiving more visitors from related queries like:
Domain trust (DR) increased by 28%, which is crucial for niches where Google is initially cautious.
At the same time, the backlink profile stayed clean:
❌ toxic donors — zero
✅ average UR for articles — 35+
The key achievement there is not just growth, but long-term stability.
Despite strong competition, the website keeps growing without drops after Google updates.
The client gained a sustainable organic channel that does not rely on paid traffic.
This project proves that SEO and link building can deliver strong results even in niches where standard approaches fail.
Instead of expensive outreach or bulk link buying, we built a balanced strategy:
